Kettering’s 2024 Art on the Commons Fine Arts and Crafts Festival is quickly approaching! Today we are sharing the top 5 reasons to attend this annual festival which will be held on Sunday, August 11 from 11 a.m. – 5 p.m. at Lincoln Park Civic Commons in Kettering, Ohio.

The Amazing Art!

The main attraction at Art on the Commons Fine Arts and Crafts Festival is of course…the Art! There are approximately 100 Artist Vendors selected every year from a highly competitive pool of applicants. These talented Artists are curated to showcase a variety of different mediums and styles. This is the perfect place to find your newest piece of art or a gift for someone you care about. This festival truly has something for every person to enjoy so don’t miss out on this fantastic opportunity to support an artist and add a hand-crafted item to your home!

Delicious Food!

Fantastic food and snacks is another one of the great reasons to attend Art on the Commons! Every year we have several vendors offering a variety of different cuisines for the public to enjoy. This year our participating food vendors include:

Looking for live music? Well, look no further. Art on the Commons has several live music performances throughout the day! You can check out these Musical Artists on the 91.3 WYSO Music Stage, thanks to our amazing sponsor 91.3 WYSO. Musical Performances for this year include:

Art Demonstrations!

While your browsing and purchasing your newest hand-crafted item at Art on the Commons, you can also learn more about the art making process by viewing our live Art Demonstrations! Instructors from Rosewood Arts Center will be demonstrating their artistic skills for the public to see. Here you can learn more about the amazing craftsmanship that goes into creating artwork and possibly even find your newest interest. All demonstrations reflect different skills and classes that can be taken at Rosewood Arts Center. Demonstrations include Wire wrapping, Drawing, Wheel Pottery, Metals, Watercolor, Ceramics, and more… Don’t miss out on learning more about the process of creating Art!

Free Activities!

Art on the Commons has so many activities that are free for the public to enjoy. The amazing music, fantastic art demonstrations and a kids arts and crafts booth are all available for the public to enjoy free of charge. You also can enjoy the beautiful scenery at the Festival’s location, Lincoln Park Civic Commons! All of these things make Art on the Commons a fantastic way to spend the end of your weekend on Sunday, August 11 from 11 a.m.- 5 p.m.!
