Mary is from Dayton, Ohio and she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Theatre from the University of Dayton, with minors in Visual Arts and Marketing. She has performed at several local community theatres and spent three years as part of the street cast at the Ohio Renaissance Festival. Since 2019, Mary has been one of the Wenches a’ Wailing at the festival and is also a member of the local Celtic band, Jameson’s Folly, where she sings and plays the bodhrán (an Irish drum). Mary’s extensive background in the performing arts is why we are so excited to have her as the director of Kettering Children’s Theatre.

Here is Mary’s advice for anyone interested in getting involved in theatre: “Just find a place and do it! Don’t worry if you don’t know anyone there at first; you’re sure to make friends. If one theatre group doesn’t work for you, try another! But most of all, dive in enthusiastically and try new things—never be afraid of looking or sounding silly; half the fun of theatre is doing things that would be absurd in real life!”
