Originally from Dallas, Texas, Pam has been an artist resident at Rosewood for over 10 years. She is known for her colorful, impressionistic-style portraits of dancers and children, which inspire her most. “I love painting children and ballerinas the most because they have such beautiful color and movement.” Pam has painted with oils for several decades and studied art at the Ringling College of Art and Design in Sarasota Florida. She moved to the Kettering area years ago. “I remember painting something when I was around 8 years old and from that moment on, knew I wanted to be an artist” she said. “When you enjoy doing something, you spend more and more time doing it, and you get better at it as time goes on. You don’t have to be born with a great talent in something, but just keep working on what it is that makes you happy and you’ll get better over time.”
