As a part of a series of programs celebrating printmaking, join us on Saturday, March 8th, Emily Louise Howard will lead an exclusive workshop on the jig-saw block method for creating vibrant, multicolored prints. Participants will also learn essential inking and printing techniques, along with innovative ways to repurpose misprints and minimize waste in the studio. The workshop welcomes all experience levels, but registration is required. Don’t miss this inspiring and hands-on artistic experience!

Emily Louise Howard is an award-winning printmaker whose book “Block Print Magic: The Essential Guide to Designing, Carving, and Taking Your Artwork Further with Relief Printing” published by Rockport Publishers, has been an international success for learning printmaking. She exhibits her work internationally and participates in arts festivals around the United States. Howard is an annual visitor to Kettering as an exhibiting artist at Rosewood Arts Center’s “Art on the Common Fine Arts and Fine Crafts Festival” every August, and was the Art on the Commons featured artist in 2023. Emily Howard is the heart, hands, and mind behind The Diggingest Girl*—the name of her print business, popular Instagram account, and Etsy shop. Howard earned her BFA degree from the University of Kentucky and an MFA from the University of Cincinnati.
