Printmaking For All: A Community Celebration
Rosewood Arts Center is pleased to announce Printmaking for All: A Community Celebration, a series of educational and artistic programs and events created to engage new audiences to printmaking in the greater Dayton region.
Printmaking for All pushes beyond the traditional classroom experience to expand the ways print can ignite community-building and inspire new methods of visual communication. This program series will offer a wide breadth of events and educational opportunities to engage with the medium, from the art curious to the most seasoned artist.
Activities include:
• The establishment of print clubs for both teenagers and for community members;
• Series of lectures and demonstrations from nationally recognized leaders in printmaking including Emily Louise Howard and Carlos Barberena;
• Studio tours and open house activities in December 2024 and a cumulative program and open house on May 17, 2025;
• A special print exchange with local students at Stivers School for the Arts, Fairmont High School, Kettering Middle School and the Dayton Regional STEM School;
• A print exhibition at Rosewood Arts Center in May 2025 featuring the print exchange and other prints created during Printmaking for All programs;
• A special “Print Nook” activity station at the Wilmington-Stroop branch of the Dayton Metro Library to complement the “Book Nook” themed collection presented at Rosewood Arts Center;
