Rosewood Gallery in Kettering, Ohio is pleased to present the annual The View juried landscape exhibition. For the first time in its 26 year history, the exhibition is housed exclusively online with images and an exhibition video, accompanied by a downloadable exhibition catalogue with an essay by the exhibition juror, Cathy Mayhugh.
New for this year, the Joan W. McCoy Award for Artistic Excellence has been awarded to three artists, for a total of $600. Congratulations to our award winners: Kathy Moore, Corner Street at 2 a.m. and Winter Laundry with Backyard Shed (first place); Ian Welch, No Safe Harbor, Invasive Species and Infestation (second place); and Clinton Wood, Development and Signs of Progress (third place). Visitors can vote for their favorite artwork and help decide the $150 People's Choice Award. The award will be presented at the conclusion of the exhibition, with support from the Joan W. McCoy Memorial Art Fund. Scroll down to cast your vote!
The View continues in this new presentation format as a juried exhibition for artists living in Ohio and working in all media. This year, 51 artists submitted 143 pieces, from which Cathy Mayhugh chose 42 artworks representing 30 artists.

Cathy Mayhugh is the Director of Exhibitions at the Fitton Center for Creative Arts, a community art center in Hamilton, Ohio. In this role she curates, designs, coordinates and installs a wide range of exhibitions of visual art. She earned a BFA from Miami University, Oxford and a Museum Studies Graduate Certificate from the University of Cincinnati. Cathy is an Advisory Committee member for Hamilton’s StreetSpark public art program and for Butler Tech School of the Arts.
